Oh, it’s been so long since I last posted. I am not sure exactly why, but sometimes you just are not in the mood and you have to stop. That stop took one year for me, but well. I only want to write about things that I personally like and not to feel the pressure of just posting no matter what. So, what “awoke” me this time?
Well, it is my friend Maria Drossou and her wonderful work as a curator in the Industrial Gas Museum Shop (Technopolis, Gazi). Did you know that that old Gas Factory – turned Museum has a lovely little shop with carefully selected products? Well it does. And as if that wasn’t enough, they also produce their own designs in collaboration with celebrated greek designers (such as the “Candlehande” by Yannis Ghikas).
The products that you can find in the shop, ideal for a unique present (now that the festive season is near), are mostly inspired by the history of the Gas factory, the forms of its elements, its industrial shapes and materials and are carefully combined with other, thoroughly selected items such as stationary, clothing, bags, design objects and jewellery, that give that little space a most interesting and fun variety!
So, next time that you will visit the Industrial Gas Museum in one of its many events (concerts, markets, shows, exhibitions, etc), don’t forget to pass by the Shop and Maria, to learn all about what this lovely space has to offer!

Below you can find my mini selection of loved products (plus a detailed description at the end of the photos), but since there are plenty more that I like, I will definitely do another post in the future! 😉
